Aims and Objectives 

Its aims are to encourage:

  • A positive sense of community by building social cohesion across Brentford.
  • Environmental improvements and a sense of local pride.
  • Responsibility for community life and a positive sense of citizenship aiming to reduce ‘anti social’ behaviour and crime.
  • Partnership working with other voluntary sector agencies engaged in community development.
  • The support of individuals to reach their potential through holistic development which builds confidence, self-awareness and a positive self-esteem.
  • Celebration of life as a community.

The activities do this by:

  • Being welcoming and open to all people regardless of their gender, marital status, race, ethnic origin, religion, age, sexual orientation or physical and mental capacity.
  • Investing time and resources in existing and new community regeneration projects.
  • Encouraging local residents and businesses to engage in community projects and events.
  • Working in partnership with other charities, voluntary bodies and statutory authorities in the furtherance of the project.
